I just reviewed that video again and all of those pictures were taken from the main highways in the park - there was no "hiking" involved. Many of the geysers were shot from the boardwalks through the geyser basins but they are all of the main basins none of the back country. I would encourage you to drive both of the loop roads and pull over and observe frequently. If there is a drive off of the main road take it and stop and view the waterfalls or the cascades or the petrified trees or whatever it happens to be. I am a geyser guy so I like to spend most of my time in the geyser basins but once in while I like a trip like this one where I take in ALL of the wonders of the "park". Canyon area is beautiful... the lake is too... there is really nothing about the park that I don't enjoy... well maybe the mosquitos... and the price of things. Anyway ENJOY! Let me know how it goes and maybe share your "home video" as well.
